Frederick Zufelt is a managing member and co-founder of the ZDA Law Group, and has over 15 years of experience providing strategic legal and regulatory advice to a wide range of health care professionals and entities. 

Frederick began his legal career in private practice at two large law firms in Raleigh, North Carolina, and he then practiced for nearly 10 years as deputy general counsel to one of the largest independent academic physician practices in the country. He has advised clients on a variety of regulatory compliance and transactional matters, including HIPAA and state privacy law compliance, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance, physician practice acquisitions, physician licensure issues, and hospital-physician contracting matters. Drawing on his experience as an in-house attorney, he has developed an in-depth knowledge of physician practice operations, and strives to provide pragmatic, operations-focused solutions to complex legal and regulatory challenges.

A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Frederick received his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served as a member of the North Carolina Law Review and was inducted as a member of the Order of the Coif.
